instant shit is nasty, quick 1-minute is almost as bad, and whole (old fashioned) rolled oats are so-so.


steel cut oats are amazing, I eat them almost every morning for breakfast

My favorite is maple brown sugar from Quaker. I used to eat three bags of it every morning (well that was during the summer so more like three bags every late afternoon).

Oatmeal is awesome.

After a session I often find the munchies have left me with a few extra pounds. Oatmeal is one of the few things that satisfies me and helps me lose some weight.

Now that I think of it, I could go for some oatmeal right now. Fresh fruit + oatmeal = the win.

oatmeal also helps to reduce high cholesterol, now you can load up on bacon too

no joke, I've started using a lot of butter since I eat so much oatmeal.  Adds calories to my diet and adds fat which is helping me to gain weight (eating healthily, I've gained 5 lbs. in the last 4 weeks :smile:)

The rolled kind of oatmeal is very good to use as a breading for fish.

I've been saying it for a long time, but soon I'm going to learn to bake granola. I figure the rolled oats would be best for that


I'm not saying the others don't have their uses, but in taste and nutrition, steel cut oats take the cake
