I beleive colesterol being high isint a measure of health. There's no proof or evidence that links high colesterol to heart attack. That's a lie by the medical community to push meds. People of all colesterol readings have heart attacks high or low. It all comes down to if the colesterol sticks or not and clogs. If someone knew what makes it stuck or not than that would be a medical breakthrough

If you have an idea of how the heart works, then I would assume you would agree with me when I say that you are indeed unhealthy.

That's an ignorant statement. Colesterol is measured in the blood. Not your heart

Oh yes. Shortness of breath, excruciating leg and back pain on exertion, sweating like a pig at the slightest exertion and some mild angina. Fortunately they sent me in for a stress test and found I had some serious problems. The bypass made a new man out of me.

It's not ignorant, if you have high colesterol your more likely to get a number of diseases.

OP - look into red yeast rice ~ it's a fungal supplement i take that you can get most places... it contains statins which help reduce total cholesterol and LDL.

Maybe I'll get a stress test done. This way I'll see how things are flowing . Is it possible if I was a little clogged up but not enough for bypass. Can it be healed naturally through diet and exercise ? Meaning the gunk ( is I had ) would kind of dissappear over time

If you have high cholesterol, your heart will eventually become clogged. Poor circulation, high bloodpressure; shortness of breath ect. All those things can bring on other problems, problems all related to having high cholesterol. You have valves in your heart, and they will become clogged, eventually hardened until they don't do their jobs properly anymore. When that happens you could get surgery to replaces those valves; It can work although I'd rather just eat foods that help lower cholesterol and exercise more.

your body produces Cholesterol. this is the Cholesterol that builds up plagues in your arteries.
NOT the Cholesterol found in food.
take your doctors advice with a grain of salt, and do some research.
the bloods osmotic pressure has everything to do with damage of the cells in one's heart. build up of Cholesterol = inflammation* (thanks Visionary) = closing off of arterial membrane, and too much pressure leading to damage of cells. Cholesterol buildup and excess produced by the body in response to closed membrane, increases due to lack of hydration [among other factors](ie, causing inflammation) along the membrane of the artery, thus leading to A: more Cholesterol, and B: more cellular damage along arterial lining; producing a cycle of excess Cholesterol and damage to cells.
changes in lifestyle will help.
water, salt, exercise. decrease fatty foods. no diuretics.

Recently, It was shown that cyclodextrin holds efficacy in reducing atherosclerosis, and removing cholesterol from ththe body. Its bioavailability via oral administration is pretty low however... heart stuff is really something you should talk to your doc with about, but my cholesterol is high af and i was told to add Red Yeast Rice to my diet by the doc as it inhibits the production of cholesterol in the body, where a majority is made.

Rolled oats, like pourage are helpful. exercise definatly, vegetables, whole grains, ect. Google foods to help lower cholesterol would give you more ideas. Listing foods that you eat frequently would be a start to understanding why you have high cholesterol. Some people naturally have high cholesterol if i remember correctly, but that has things to do with genetics I assume. However eating healthy, and in your case because you've already been identified as having poor cholesterol I would probably change out a lot from your diet and exercise. However, I don't know what your diet is like so I can't say that forsure.
Honest advice I would be seeking out doctors and other people specialized in that kind of field, its not a conspiracy; if you have high cholesterol then you need to get on that shit pronto. I don't like taking meds either, but the first step I would make would be seeking out help, and trying to determine if my diet is to blame, or any other factors. You may be able to lower your cholesterol by diet and exercise alone, but if it gets really bad you will have to take medication; or you could choose not to.

That's a great idea. And changing your diet and exercising is too. At least it wouldn't hurt matters much. I'm assuming your rather young yet, but it's never too late. If that doesn't work out, they can shoot a few stents up there. I was rather unusual in that I needed a surgical coronary bypass at 42. My dad dropped dead of a massive heart attack when he was only 40, so it tends to run in my family.

I appreciate everything u guys are saying. To be more specific though. Diet and exercise could lower colesterol but I wanted to know if there's away to remove built up plaques naturally . After all the plaque is what kills you and not the colesterol. People with great c numbers have bypass surgery and heart attacks every day.
