Freezing san pedro extract
    #4864299 -

If I were to boil down 26 inches of san pedro and then freeze it for a week would it be fine? The san pedro I have is started to get soft ( it's a cutting in the closet ) and Im planning on eating it next weekend but don't want it to go bad.

Over 12 hours and no response. Unheard of.

I'm assuming this would be fine to do I just don't want to ruin my concoction. I was just going to boil the 26 inches down split it in half and freeze it til this friday and drink it with a friend.

I have not done it personally, but I see no error in it. I have no idea of the speed at which the active ingredients break down, so dont take my word to the bank.

It's not normal for a cutting to go bad in a week. Something might already be wrong with it to the point where it might not be safe to eat. I've had cuttings sit around for nearly a year without going bad. Just something to keep in mind.

it'll hold in the freezer for a month+, as elgr stated, it takes a while for cutting to go bad

Freezing will not hurt your mescaline brew.

I've had it in my closet for 4 months. I kind of forgot/neglected to plant it, and now I fear the worst so I wanna eat it quickly. theres no visible mold or decay but it feels a lot "softer" than when I first had it. I'm hoping it's okay under the skin, but I didn't wanna waste anymore time. I'm going to brew it tonight then and drink it either this friday or next.

You could freeze the cutting so as to help break down the cell walls of the cactus tissue before you do the boil. It will help to get the good out.
