what's that song, i heard it was john mellencamp but it just doesn't sound anything like his style to me

it was like, "stop children, what's that sound, everybody look what's goin' round"

awesome song.

Check out Lennon...most of his songs fit your criteria.

The song is "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield, featuring a pre-CSNY Neil young and Stephen Stills. Here is a good list of protest songs:

If you're into newer age music, you can check out A Perfect Circle's new album eMOTIVe. They covered a bunch of anti-war songs. They really aren't all THAT great but there are a few pretty good ones in there. Its more of a mellow album

No I don't post there. Thats kinda weird because JettaJay is a pretty unique sn ... or I had guessed it was. I wish I had an Audi A4 turbo.

Yeah Jay, that's For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield.

I would also like to recommend Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane. Check for November's "Mp3 Of The Month", also. It's going to be one of the best protest songs ever.
