oyster mush

i had an oyster culture sent to me at least 6 months ago...
...after i recieved it, i thought it had died do to the so. cali :sun:
after observing no growth.
tonight, i diluted the culture in sterile water....broke up the agar and used that to inocculate perculated coffee grounds in a zip lock bag. i have it sitting on top of the fridge.
i hope it takes off....:)

maybe the coffee grounds is to acidic (pH < 5). Use some kind of wood or straw...

even after the grounds were run through an expresso machine? (under pressure + high temps)

I have grown on used coffee with great success. For personal at least. I did use strong cultures that showed good growth on agar though.
