b : adherence to a system or a class of principles <stoicism>

This is the -ism I am referring to, which I defined in the first post on this thread.

When we decide to lock in our thinking, to accept whole cloth a particular system, we choose to stop examining and considering the verity of our beliefs. Thinking ceases.

it should be the ability to consider entire schools of thought using single words ("-isms") while mincing between commitments to abide by any part of any of them.
