Borders Bargain Bin
    #4741568 -

Today I was killing some time downtown waiting for a movie to start, so I decided to go browse the local Borders bookstore for a little while. Looking through their bargain rack, I found 2 huge hardcover books, one about Van Gogh and the other Salvador Dali. Totaled out to like 15 dollars for both of them. Hell ya' these books have some beautiful full size pictures.

Hell yeah!

A few years ago, I scored a hardcover copy from Borders Bargain Bin of 1984 that has awesome graphic design art in it by Alex Williamson and Robbie Mahoney.  The text is layed out it in an offset block format and is printed on some thick ass glossy paper.

Together with the layout, the images really provide a true feel for paranoia and the omniprescence of "the Man."  It's one of the best finds I have in my personal library.  And it only cost 10 bucks

I feel more alive and wired and energetic than with speed, but not jangly. Its got the blast of cocaine, but it lasted ten times longer."

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of art books in the bargain bin. I've seen some Escher and Gerogia O'Keefe, too.
