When will these become mushrooms? (PICS)

My cakes (PC Puerto Rico strain) have been in my terrarium at about 85 humidity (using a ultrasonic humidifier and styrofoam coolers) for about two weeks. I see development but when will these babies be ready!? Are the large clumps shrooms pinning? Any suggestions to help speed the process?

85% humidity is too low for cakes..you want to be shooting for 95%

No they dont appear 100% healthy at all. It looks like you might have another mold growing there... something yellow. Still they might pop some 'shrooms, ' cant be too sure.

you need more humidity. i dunno exactly what those are but it might just be mycellium overgrowing on itself; thats my guess. make sure youre in the low 70's for PR's also.

Mix up about a cap full (Two wouldn't hurt if it's 3% peroxide) of Peroxide in a water spray bottle and dowse the effected areas. The peroxide should kill the contam but not harm the mycelium. It may be Pseudomonous or E.Choli. Both could make you very sick. Proceed with caution.

I sprayed the cakes with water and h2o2 and they just turned a little blue. Does this just mean that the clumps are mycelium and I damaged it a little bit? If so, now what do I do?

actually Beepo, I believe you're wrong... mid-high 70's seems to be much more ideal for the fruiting. the pk tek and mmgg suggest you keep it in the high 70's

spradl did you get your humidity up to 95%? that's the most important thing, the cake will most likely still fruit the way it is, just get that damn humidity up.

Yeah The humidity is up at 95 now and I also injected the cakes with some water because I noticed that they were extremely dry compared to the one i just birthed. I'm thinking about throwing some perlite in there too to help out with the moisture. What do you think?

From my stand point.... 95% humidity is just that. No need to add perlite if your at 95%.
