Lysol is your friend man. Spray it, let it sit for 15-30 min, then wipe it the parts sprayed with a paper towel with some water, then wipe it out again or let it air dry.

Don know about the second one, sorry man.

Fuck lysol. Alcohol is you friend. Yes, that cleaning method is fine. I wipe everything I use with alcohol, so yes, if you want too, to your second question. And thirdly, it is NEVER good for jars to have a puddle of water. Birth as soon as is reasonable.

Alcohol evaporates very clean. It doesn't leave much, if anything behind. I use it all the time.
