That might work, what I do is place my casing material (50/50+) in a steel bowl on the steaming rack in my preasure cooker and then preasure cook it at 15psi for about an hour. So far I have been able to avoid contams, but I am also a compulsive obsessive LOL so keeping things sterile doesn't take much effort.

i have had success with just putting the 50/50 in the microwave in a plastic tubberware, im very lazy.

Although Kbone is right, I agree with chestercopperpott. I never skimp when it comes to sterilizing the casing. Contaminated casing is one of the biggest problems cultivators typically face...so overkill can't hurt. I sterilize my casing at 15 psi for 1.5 hours just to be safe and I rarely have contamination. Although I have been hit with cob web mold twice in the last couple years, I have never had other contams that plauge casing.
