I tried sterilizing a plastic 1/2 pint microwavable jar with brown rice for 10 minutes. After about 9 minutes 30, the rice started to burn. The smell of burning rice still haunts me a month later.
Are microwaves are too intense for sterilisation?

Hey Buddha, they should be fine in the microwave(put in glass bowl,not plastic for about 5 minutes...GoodLuck!
