so, did you get gelidium or gracilaria?
to my understanding gracilaria has a higher melting(solidifiying) temp. and also poorer gelling strength...
correct me if i'm wrong. this how i remember it, but dunno...
apart from this, do tell if their product is superior to your basic agar. could never hurt to find the best in the market, eh?

I agree and would like to see more people use agar.
Some people say that it is to hard and or contaminates easily.
But I used the oven tek when I started using agar and had very little contamination provided I use gloves and was not sitting there sneezing and coughing over(that one was very contaminated in like 2 days)
