Outdoor pot grows

I think I'm going to check google maps for good woody grow spots, and go hiking to try and find a grow and snag an ounce or so : )
Did you hear about the 5000 plant bust in Tennasee? Also the $117,000,000 of plants erraticated in NC?
I mean really, It might be worth a hike

spread plants out along the edges of clear cuts, dont group them. I have had good sucess with maiking full loops around clear cuts and putting htem here and there very speraticly!

Exactly..

People who make large plots, with 10+ plants togethor are asking to get busted.

Not to mention people with 1000 plant plots... idiots : )

i think he meant find someone elses grow, not grow his own. but i suppose thats good advice on where to look!

oh i see, i miss read that. Man dont jack peoples plants that is cold!!! I have had it happen to me and that is the worst. Just get to know some growers they are not greedy people for the most part!

well i guess that is one of the risks of growing outdoors! Well good luck on that man. it is not quite harvest time yet so dont take any prematures because that is just a complete total waste! That is what happen to someone i know had all plants jacked from them and that is just a total waste!

Put your enthusiam into growing your own. It would be instant karma if you got shot in the face while jacking someone's grow. At least you tagged your post with "Don't do this, leave it to me." :smirk: Its all yours to try to go rob a 50,000 plant grow that will definetly have at least one active person patrolling. Google maps will not show rural areas in detail like you mentioned, so you better start investing in your own heli to maximize your ripping potential :rolleyes:.

I don't advocate the use of traps--innocent animals and hikers could be caught up for no reason. I sometimes lean toward advocating breaking ripper's legs and leaving them in the forest.

I couldn't agree more. I don't smoke pot (quit over a decade ago) and I would never touch anyones grow if I stumbled upon it. But I do a lot of hiking in backcountry areas and love to explore off the trails. If I was injured in some growers traps I'd stake out a campsite near the area and wait till the fucker showed up to harvest. The he'd be the one lying in the forest with broken legs!!

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Razor blades, bear traps, grenades and guns are among the traps marijuana growers are using to try to keep out police and competing drug growers.

Drug agents in helicopters have spotted $411 million worth of marijuana across Ohio in the last decade, records from the Ohio attorney general show. In the process, they have pulled nearly 100 traps from patches.

Agents said that's probably a small fraction of what's out there.

"It's a problem, not just for law enforcement, but for hikers and the 15-year-old kid on a four-wheeler out to have some fun," said Ted Almay, former director of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.

Traps include fishing lines with sharpened fish hooks attached strung between trees and razor blades shoved into the stalks of marijuana plants, ready to bloody intruders.

Last year, a grower planted 10 homemade bombs in a cornfield in Highland County in southwest Ohio. A groundhog set off the trap and blew itself into the air.

In Champaign County, a hiker suffered some paralysis after tripping over a fishing line attached to the pin of a hand grenade, which exploded and showered the man with shrapnel.

Poisonous copperhead snakes were put in a mesh container near a plot in Kentucky. When a state police officer tried to harvest the plot, he tripped on a wire and a snake sprang out to bite him on the hand.

In Meigs and Lorain counties, authorities have found marijuana fields guarded by pungi sticks, infamously used by the enemy in the Vietnam War. Growers fill 3- to 5-foot deep holes with buckets of the sharpened sticks and hide the holes with twigs and grass. People walking by have crashed through and fallen onto the pungi sticks.

"They're common around here, as are bear traps," said Meigs County Sheriff's Deputy Rick Smith.

Jim Bissell, chief botanist for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, searches private and state-owned land in northeast Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania for rare plants and flowers. He often finds marijuana. He once came across a trap, and he fears he'll find others.

"I worry because I'm out there all the time," Bissell said. "I'm worried that I'm going to step on a trip wire. I have people from my office who are out there, too. It's a concern. I think my wife is more worried than I am because she fears I won't come home."

Jim Gordon, president of the Mohican Trail Club, a hiking group near Ashland, said casual hikers who wander off paths often find marijuana plants and traps. Traps are so extensive that officials have warned hikers on state and federal lands.

This idea sucks. :thumbdown:  Why would you want to do that to someone? A) You're stealing their crop, and B) You're going to give them such a huge case of paranoia, and why would you want to do that to someone? They're going to have to move their entire crop because of you.

Way to try and justify stealing someone's efforts and probably what they depend on for smoke/survival/medicine. No one claims rights or puts any effort into breathing air, native soil nutrients, or sunlight.
