flower pot container things

one sunny day, Farmer G planted two seeds in an ordinary plain flower pot. out of that ordinary plain flower pot, grew two pretty flowers that grew side by side, against the sun. day by day, the roots grew and stablized the flowers in the soil. winds and rain came and still the flowers stood tall and strong.

one sunnier day, Farmer G decided that these two flowers needed a new home becuz they had grown into something more than any of the other flowers he had in his garden. he knew they would stand out even more if they were in a special flower pot and not just an ordinary plain one. so he repotted them in a special flower pot.

the two flowers, now in a special flower pot, grew side by side, stood tall against the sun. Farmer G watched and watered them with gleam in his eyes. he was very proud of them. his friends came by and were in awe of the two beautiful flowers,"'wow Farmer G, those are two of the most beautiful flowers we have ever seen and that is a pretty flower pot too." Farmer G was very happy, not only were the flowers beautiful, they were in a special flower pot.

one not so sunny day, to Farmer Gs dismay, he discovered that the two flowers were beginning to wilt. Farmer G was very confused becuz he was taking very good care of them. he soon found out there was a very huge crack in the flower pot. the roots had grown to the point that there was not enuf room and in this, it had crack the flower pot. Farmer G tried watering the wilting flowers to make them come back to full life, but the water seaped out. this made Farmer G very sad to now see two wilting flowers in a cracked flower pot, instead of two beautiful growing flowers in a special flower pot.

Framer G knew he had to save the two flowers so he repotted them back to the ordinary plain flower pot. the ordinary plain flower pot was bigger than the special one so once again, the flowers stood tall against the sun while the roots continue to grow. this made Farmer G very happy again.

"oh but the flowers will continue to grow and the ordinary plain flower pot would also crack and my two beautiful flowers will begin to die again", he thot. this made Farmer G sad again.

"aha! i will plant them in the grass field behind my house and i can still go see and take care of them and they will never die. the roots can grow wherever they please and will not be confined in a stupid flower pot", so Farmer G replanted them. the two flowers continue to grow, side by side, tall and strong, against the sun, in an endless field of grass, free to establish their roots anywhere they please.

bonsai trees defy nature.
a potentially enormous tree develops in a flower pot.
after thirty years it shades a bottlecap,
instead of a house.
accomplished by
confinement
and deceptive trimming.

people have been doing this for years with their lives.

i found my former pot today,
inside the old tool shed.
it lay idle, cracked from years of refusing to trim

and i look to those that trim, that reject the possibility of leaving their pots
they have forgot about true love, trimming back their hope
always thinking, "is this all?"
i wiped my hands clean of their miserable certainty
walked past them silently, to the meadow of opportunity
where those who wish to cultivate love will prosper

Farmer G should get some plastic flowers. They wouldn't be so rude as to grow in unexpected ways.
