cool mist vs. vaporizer
    #4619425 - 09/04/05 02:50 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

i have a cool mist and noticed the air doesnt seem too moist .. seems like it will dry the casing out more then moisture it.. so i took my aquarium heater and placed it in the resivoir at 80 degrees and i have a pretty decent fog coming out of the tub in my greenhouse... wondering if i just return my cool mist for a vapor mist would that make a difference?

Most greenhouse set up's use a cool mist and a ultrasonic. Cool mist runs 24/7 and gives a constant air exchange without lowering humidity much but like you said it will lower it but every few hours the ultrasonic comes on.
People should be sure to put the outlet for the ultrasonic just on top of the outlet for the cool mist so the fog will drop into the cool mist airstream and mix better. (way better actually)
