Interpreting a Poem
    #4615976 - 09/03/05 12:29 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

I think you'll like this. It is a response I just made on another message board. The poster recieved a poem in their mind, & wanted to know what it meant...

"Staggering steps to dark water
And life hidden behind the veil
For those who seek it they won't ever find.
True peace comes with a price."

Staggering steps to dark water
~The difficulty of digging into your subconscious mind~

And life hidden behind the veil
~The Ego with its attitudes & world view, creates a filter between what you can comprehend, and what you are experiencing~

For those who seek it they won't ever find.
~Seeking with the Ego is difficult, because the Ego always seeks to validate itself~

True peace comes with a price.
~The Ego is insecure when it is not operating in harmony with the Soul. This makes it hard for the Ego to comprehend that much can be gained through sacrifice~

The Soul exists simultaneously throughout all of Time. The Ego merely exists now.

In Spiritual experiences the Ego percieves the Soul, but resists accepting that it is merely an interface the Soul uses for expression in the Material World. So the Ego creates a symbol that it can relate to... an Angel or a Spirit Guide... something that it can believe is external to itself.

The Path is all about finding your Real Self, and when you realize that you are merely a small part of what you really are, you become Enlightened. It is only after the Ego becomes Enlightened, that one can even begin to comprehend God.

--------------------
The Soul exists simultaneously throughout all of Time.
The Ego merely exists now.

i find dark colors calming and peaceful dark waters could be their final sleep there great kingdom but they are staggering towards it and fear they may not make it. they live a double life and those closest to them can almost see that everythings not peachy keen hence the veil. theyre trying to find a reason to keep trying but if u have to keep looking it wont be found some things cant be found till u give up and just have faith.some times to make it where u want to go (the kingdom or what not) u have to make sacrifices
