is it possible to grow out spawn of monokaryotic mycelium? would it live that long?

It is possible to grow monokaryotic mycelium. Survival should not be a problem but it would never produce fruit. The mycelium that originates from the germination of a single spore is monokaryotic. In practice it can be difficult to find monokaryotic mycelium because spores tend to clump together and the germination of one spore stimulates the germination of others. Monokaryotic growth is cottony and never becomes rhizomorphic.

What would the purpose of making spawn that is a mon rather than dikaryon? If the goal is fruit production, which would be an ideal use of spawn, then a mon is not the target for this usecase.
