needle guage for sucking up mycelium...

I was wondering the smallest guage needle I can use to suck up mycelium from honey water. My friend has a needle but it's needle is very small, I'm guessing I will need a larger needle to suck it up.. ?

Just buy another needle. If you have any sporprints I might trade you some for a print.

If your liquid culture is thick with Myc. It will plug almost any needle. You need to place some thick broken glass shards in the culture bottle to start off with. Then, after the Myc begins to show up & grow -- you can shake the bottle & the shards inside will help chop the Myc into small pieces that you can suck up with an 18 gauge needle. Good Luck.
