HELP!!! calling all pubbers... i need support!

i've been trying to set up my new HD for like 28 hours now... i can't rest untill its all set up...
first i thought i was gonna have to make a BIOS update so my lame ass computer could READ my new 80GB so i went to my brother (an hour and a half drive) to copy everything on my OLD HD and format it... then we put on windows on the old HD and uploaded all my stuff back on it and decided to leave the new HD as is becouse i could do the rest at home (luckly my computer CAN read the new one without the update since the old HD didnt work on MY computer... of course you can't run the operating system on a diffrent computer then it was working on...) so i end up at home having to install windows again(not a leagal vertion of course... it's a DELL cd which did not ask a serial since it assumed it was already ON my non existing dell computer)
i proceed to upload all the old HD onto the new one and then find out that FUCKING BILL GATES wants my money and i have 30 days to sort the serial number thingymagiggit so i try all sorts of other sirials... none work.

ok so now we're getting to now... i'm trying to download service pack 2 off of Emule since i was told that would fix the sirial thing but what if THAT doesn't work?
i was also told that FUCKING BILL started to CHARGE MONEY FOR WINDOWS UPDATE !!! WTF? so maybe i won't be able to use ANY non leagal windows?
and on top of that i installed Norton antivirus only to findout that that also does not work... they want my money...
so right now i can't really do much of anything untill i sort this SHIT out and as most of you probably expirianced befor you just CAN'T stop untill you DO sort it out... i'm going crazy here...

Just a suggestion, but...have you considered switching to a free operating system?

Dude, go download Windows Xp Corporate edition (It doesn't require a serial/activation at all) Solves all your problems.

I know what you mean, but remember -it only hurts once.
You might want to try a linux liveCD. It lets you boot up linux from a cd without modifying anything on your computer. Many linux distributions offer them nowadays, you can just download one and burn it.
www.distrowatch.com is a good place to start.
I could also recommend www.ubuntulinux.org, it's the distro I use myself.

i just want to get it over with and i don't want to install windows AGAIN for the third time in two days...
also i'm not sure how exectly i can reinstall windows when there's already one on the drive... (i might just install on my old HD and use the new one as a data drive)

i'm just bitching basically.......

if i wasn't so cheep i'd kick it!
i should have bought a new computer but i'm thinking of going away for about 10 months or so... makes more sense to buy one later

i just wanted to backup my stuff befor something happened
of course by the time i actualy bought the HD my old OS was jamming from the get go...

i'm getting NOWHERE

i think i'm gonna quit!
call a friend tomorrow and get a proper installation CD and some antivirus/firewall stuff and install everything on the old HD

i can't belive i let babilon take the best of me...
though i'm not giving up just yet! i don't plan on paying anything that's for sure!
