Freaking Crazy Guys Look at this! I got it in the mail.

Ok, I sell stuff on ebay, Ive sold probally 100 things or so, my feedbacks good, whatever.

I usually take payments via paypal. I mainly sell cards, movies, and games. My age type of stuff.

Well today in the mail, I got a Postal money Order in the mail, with london mailing stamps and no return address.

I open it up and I shit you not! there is a Postal Money Order for 850.00 (yeah thats right) from some dude in ohio!

I have never sold 850.00 on ebay, I have no idea why I got it, but it looks pretty legit.

Should I go cash it, comparing it another postal money order I received it looks slightly different, but whats the point?

Im ever so confused.
if it is fake can I get in trouble for trying to cash it?

heres to hoping for good luck,
but my experience is ill probally get screwed in the end.

Keep the envelope and all the evidence and try and cash it.

yeah, i figured to keep the envelope. There is only my address on the envelope with the london stamp (which is weird cause this dude lives in ohio.)

is there any trouble I can get in for cashing it if it is fake. I just dont understand why?

I hope its real, that would be a help to all my money problems!

my name, my address, my city on both the envelope and money order. i tried seaching his name, and theres 2 of these guys living in ohio.

I've heard a scam about money orders on this... I'd be wary of cashing that... But that was a long time ago and a lot more bowls, I'll try to grab some info on that.

in like 20 minutes Im leaving to try and cash it. Ill just plead ignorancew and thats mostly what it is.
if "the man" wants to come for me. so be it.

Im not gonna sit on 8 bills and just wonder. ya know!

I did some searching and all money order scams sound like the "you cash it - keep some - send me the rest" type of scams.

this just looks odd. I dont know. I dont want to get busted the ONE time Im innocent...lol

yeah, that's what I was looking at too dopeheaddave, it seems more complicated than send you a money order and that's it.

I guess there's no harm in cashing it, unless it IS a fake, then you just get hit with a $20 charge or something like that.

If anything take like 200 bucks of it then send the rest to the guy with a note saying don't be such a dumbass next time.

The money order was mad out to ME. With MY address. Why would that be a douche.

So I went to the Post office. The Clerk was gonna cash it for me checked the numbers and all was well.
Then she mnoticed it was thicker paper than the norm.
So, I had to fill out some form and give them the evidence.
BUT, if it turns out to be real, Ill be getting it back in 2-3 weeks.

Damn my luck. Thanks for helping guys!

No, I just said can you see if the amount is right. And she looked in her book and all seemed right. then she was hesitant because it was for 850 and asked the postmaster.

she came back out by me and grabbed a money order from her desk and took it back to the postmaster. 5 minutes later they called me into his office.
Explaining that THERE money Orders are printed at the treasury with dollar bill paper.

This MO was obviously a bit thivker stock than an original.
And explained it was the newer Nigerian scam. Im not in any trouble as of yet. Theyre happy I brought it to there attention.
