AFOAF was curous and was wondering what would be too close , currently hes looking at about an inch , will this inhubit lager growth being to close , any help on situation is appriciated ,thx , peace.

I would try to put at least 3" between each cake. The fruits don't always grow straight up especially if you have a light color on the bottom of you terrarium), thus making some of the shrooms to cluster up

Im not too sure, i have never had cakes but i would think you have them touching and it would not matter as long as it is easy to pick 'um and remove aborts.

the shrooms should grow fairly straight up, but I have to stick w/ my original opinion about 3". I think you will have bitch of a time picking the shrooms. Mainly because if the cakes are that close then you will probably have to pull each cake out individually and the shrooms would probably "weave" into each other and would make pulling each cake out a mess.
