Computer problem

Ok, so I got my computer to post(very lucky I didn't damage my CPU) but now windows won't load.

It gets to point of "Verifying DMI Pool Data", pauses for a minute, trys to load windows then restarts. So I try it again in safe mode, and a few times normally still it hangs for a few seconds then restarts?

heres my system

AMD 64 3000+
K8N Neo2 Plat.
512MB generic 3200
9600XT
400W Antec PSU

can you resize your main partition and reinstall ur os on the freed up space? then you will still have ur info and a fresh install.

and this happens when you are installing windowsXP pro? Is this during the blue screen time before you have to press F8?

Reset your bios defaults

Double check your connections. Unplug them and plug them back in

I've done all that stuff and more.  The guy at ncix said I will have to format, so I'll do that tonite and I should be good to go. 

Got a free version of HL2 and CS:S with my cpu/mobo so i'll probably play that tonite :thumbup:

I think I had the program....I'll have to get it again.

I won't be playing untill I find a windows XP cd key I can use because I lost mine and can't finish the install....
