Plastic or Glass?

what is better to use as a fruiting chamber, a glass fish tank or a plastic/rubbermade type tub? the plastic would be easyer to work with if holes were needed, but which is better at holding a steady temp? i used to use a fish tank and it did not do a very good job of holding in the heat, or having an even temp throughout. wondering if plastic would have worked better?
