pereskiopsis problems

My pereskiopsis cuttings start to rot at the base. I was wondering if anyone knows the soil,water,and lighting requirements for them. Currently I have them in cactus soil and they get watered when the soil is dry, also they get full sunlight and its pretty intense(Arizona). Am I overwatering them? everytime they rot at the base, I cut them off and re-root in new soil and they start growing again(slowly), but after a while they start to girdle and rot at the base again. Anyone know whats wrong?

Pereskiopsis are not anything like cacti although they belong in the Cactaceae family. They need good soil (no sand or cactus soil) and watering regulary. Keep them away from too much sun and heat. Treat them like a regular plant. I personaly water them every day and every 10 days I have 1-2 new cuttings.
