Shroomery Self Distruct Button

I think amidst all these other ideas floating around that this one will be relevant.  Not to me personally, but to someone who uses a computer at work or something.

There should be a red 'self destruct' button on every page that when click automatically clears out all cookies, history and files associated with the shroomery of the users computer including the open window.

There should be no 'are you sure' dialog either.  A countdown sequence would be cool, but unnecessary :smile:

You know, I don't browse this site except from my home CPU.  But a self-destruct button is too cool.  You could have a guy with a russian accent counting down from 5.  :rockon:

Yeah I only use my home computer as well, but I want a self destruct button. One compatible with mozilla.

Interesting idea, but you'd have to log back into the 'Shroomery every time you hit the button. Besides, it's easy enough to just delete all that crap yourself after you're through posting....

And you too are missing the point. ALL the YEARS of Shroomery threads RELY on USER POSTS. If people start self destructing... it will get messy... especially if you are a fan of the SEARCH feature.

Every Star Fleet vessel or major space station has a 'self-destruct' program that only the captain (or commanding officer) can activate.  It's there for a reason.  :yesnod: 

I'm in favor of it.  Just because it's always good to be prepared for anything.  :thumbup:

where did I say that posts would get deleted? Just closes the open window, clears browser history/cookies/temp files. That is all.

back in the day when i thought that the server was located in someones house... which it is not... i recomended wrapping it in C4 explosives and having it attached to a cell phone for remote detonation....
the admins decided against it.

There is no actual 'destruction'. The only thing it should do is clean evidence that the shroomery was used on end users computer.

that wouldnt eliminate evidence, it just makes it a little harder to find.
the first thing a Forensics team will do is recover deleted info from the hard drive.
