Right.. it appears it was me ignoring YOU! whoops.. :-|

I think life is supposed to feel like this. I would imagine everybody has times where it feels like everything in existence has unfolded specifically to trigger a certain thought or confirm one's beliefs.

The modern media plays a lot into this for me these days - just flipping through channels on the television or radio, changing channels quite quickly and just picking up bits and pieces of what is being broadcast, can turn into such a synchronious orgy that I sometimes want to yell out "WHAT THE FUUUUGG?!! NO FRICKIN WAAAYYY!!"

The more thoughtful I am at any given time, the more my mind pulls whatever it can use out of THE NOW to fit the current situation into this one view: Its all FOR me and all UP to me.

I expect that many more people go through this than would care to dicuss it, but I get the idea also that consuming mind-altering substances can certainly increase this way of thinking, and not just while one is ON the substance, but forever after as well. We asked for it :P Once it starts, we "can't stop - addicted to the shin dig"

I find that when I'm with close friends and everybody's nice and relaxed, we can all get in the same mindframe and control the direction of many situations, moreso than when I am alone..

This kind of thing reminds me of times where I was tripping with a friend or something, and nobody's saying anything or moving at all but suddenly both of us laugh out loud at seemingly the exact same idea. Sometimes it IS the exact same idea, but many times we could be off in totally different directions and both land at a laugh at the same time, further convincing eachother that we were on the same page, even though we're light-years apart - its just too hard to interrupt the flow and go "hey what did you just laugh about?" so I take it as an affirmation

Its like no matter how far away our thoughts get from eachother, our minds can always find a pattern or connection to create some synergy through.

ha I don't know if any of this makes any sense at all to anybody else, but I figured I'd toss it out there - fascinating thread, and I apologize for not realizing your response and apologize further for then even whining about it!

Wait you can't be THE ONE because *I* am! :P hmm maybe there's room for ALL of us to be THE ONE!

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

This is actually a nice metaphorical example of the seemingly paradoxical nature of the double-edged sword that is faith.

Quote:
i live a sort of repressed thought-life because i don't want to offend people, so it becomes a very hard internal struggle to clear up my mind space, and i end up punishing myself for critizing others because i feel like i am constantly putting them down and they can feel it, or pick up on it, or i am pushing onto them, making me too intense.

would you like to give an example? (if not, it's okay)

Quote:
i know i should accept all thoughts, but when i feel it putting others down, it is harder.

at these times, it's like you're putting others down in your head, but you also feel you shouldn't be doing this.

Quote:
then i answer those thoughts with really bad, offensive thoughts about myself in case they pick it all up, so they can feel better bout themselves.

like you don't want to feel better than anybody, and if you have to beat yourself up to stop that feeling, then you'll even do that.

Quote:
this makes me want to spend more time alone, where i cannot hurt other than myself. it has occasionally lead me to consider suicide just because i feel like an annoying self-centered, arrogant transmitter.

you feel guilty about transmitting your self-centered, arrogant feelings because you hurt others by transmitting these things. and you believe suicide may provide relief from this guilt.

Quote:
each time this has been going on i start punishing myself for trying to manipulate reality, but it is like a gliding switch, it comes sneaking.

you feel guilty for trying to manipulate reality.

part of you wants to manipulate reality and put others down; part of you feels tremendous guilt about these feelings.

you sound very torn, to the point it's tearing your heart.

Quote:
Also often it is like i just blurt out alot of shit that hits my mind, and it is like i am picking it from their subconscious, or field, and with no ill intentions i might hurt them, or scare them, because i hit secret nails on the head.

how have people reacted when you've done this? (again please only talk about what you're comfortable talking about)
