Contam problem.

I've never had much problem with contams or initiating pinning but I just setup a new terrarium and had a hard time getting pinning to intiate and about the same time I was getting my first flush wich was very very weak(about 5g dry from a dozen cakes) I had to throw out 8 cakes due to green mold.
I have an air pump in a sealed container with a filter and was using this for fresh air, but when I started having problems getting pinning to start I started fanning as well. I am using perlite and have plant grow light for light. I wiped down the container and sterilzed my perlite before putting in my colonized PF cakes. Anyone have any ideas as to the problem?

The green mold is most likely originating from yourself. Try to observe more sterile technique. Lysol the fuck out of everything, use a hepa filter and learn to recognize green mold when it is white so you can remove it from the terrarium before it turns green (then it is sporulating and throwing a wrench in your plans). Try some casing with straight verm to change things up a bit.

Thanks Pink!! Actually casing with verm is exactly what I did with the remaining cakes. I just don't know why it would be coming from me when I didn't have any problems this extreme earlier... I guess we'll see.. Hopefully I didn't put any contams from the remaining cakes in my casing or else I'm fucked before I start.

I used to have no problem with the mold, or not much of one. I cant get more then 1 flush now or less before it totally eats up my casings....

I thought it didnt like verm casing layers...............

it makes me want to cry when i got to throw out my shit cuz it covered in that nasty stuff.
