Attempting the Impossible
    #4410814 - 07/16/05 03:40 AM (18 years, 9 months ago)

I am going to try to go one whole week without bitching, whining, complaining or moaning about my life's events.

Wish me "luck"!

It will go something like this:

Dear Lord,

I thank you for that hit and run scrape down the side of my car as it teaches me the impermanence of life and the insignificance of material goods.

I accept catching my GF in bed with my best friend as my eyes are opened to the true nature of humans.

I appreciate that surprise IRS audit as now I will be forced to keep better records.

My torn ligament will give me more time at home to work on my music.

and so on...

if all you do is try, you will accomplish nothing, trying, to stop doing, bitching?

then again trying is not doing anything at all! is it?

do some other thing, and you will be stopping bitching..without trying!:smirk:

There is nothing wrong with bitching about stuff...the key is to not bitch to other people. An occasional complaint is one thing, but don't you hate assholes who bitch about their lives everytime they see you. Everybody has problems...we all know that...so why should one put their problems above others.

I used to work at a place where this middle aged woman would come up to me every day and bitch about her life. Her problems were that her daughter was a crack addict and a meth user, and she was raising her daughter's kid..even though the girl drew welfare she was constantly giving money to her daughter who just used it for drugs. One day I had had it with this daily complaining and I started dropping hints like "we all have problems", then I tried to avoid her to stop this spewing of poison daily because it had become such a downer that I felt that she was literally slowly poisoning my thoughts with this garbage...like a psychic attack...but still she sought me out so she could bitch. I finally told her that the reason her daughter was such a shit mother was because she had been raised that way herself. I told her she was and had been a subhuman, maternal monster. It really pissed the lady off, but fortunately she never spoke to me again.

When ever anyone asks me about how I am doing I always say that I am having a great day. This makes me feel good and the person who asks feel good....no one wants to get an earful of bitching everytime they meet you. When I have had it with the world I go off by myself, preferably into the woods, and collect myself...either that or I log onto the Shroomery and harrass people.

I have told people the truth straight out like that. I really have never regretted it. It's like gifting them a little dose of shrooms.

"Cmon Hue, don't sugar coat it!"
O.K. I did sugar coat it. I really told her that her daughter was a fucked up human because she had a mother who behaved as redneck, white trash. I said that her daughter was not to blame because she had no proper role models to guide her. I told her that she was perpetuating a cycle of pain by virtue of the fact that she herself never raised her daughter because she spent all of her time partying instead of attending to her childs needs during crucial points in her childs life. I told her that she was experiencing the bad karma generated by her irresponsible behavior. That was what I said to her. Calling her subhuman would not have had the impact, but I was trying to abbreviate the story because I am a lazy typer.

Being told the unvarnished truth is a gift. Unfortunately I am a "giving" person, and people get tired of the truth according to Huehuecoyotl. If I was handing out shrooms in the same fashion everyone I know would have a permanent tolerance. It is a gift and a curse to me.

Telling the truth is a gift ?

Hum what is truth ?

Truth is what the speaker believes and what the listener accpets.

So if fact the " Gift " of telling the truth may be a " Gift " of being an poor person. Telling and suggesting are two animals. Compassion for ones short coming is far different than dictation of percieved truth.

Depends on who you ask.

While there are times that it is nessecary to tell it like it is. By your own admission. You may in fact have no real authority to tell the truth. And what justifies your understanding ? What total experiences give you the right to tell anyone how it is ?

Nothing harmfull meant to you, just words for thought.

No that's not me. I'd go for a white dress, not red.

Thought I do have this head-style at the moment, a beard and hair like that, only it's black, not brown, and I am uglier than the actor

Life served you up another shit sandwich, Swami?

It's not fair, life's not fair, it's just not fair wah wah boo hoo.

Most people get over that whiny shit at an early age, some never do.

I look at it this way, if you believe life has been unfair due to circumstances beyond your control, you play the victim and victim's tend to fail. If you believe what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, you are a survivor and survivors tend to succeed. That's life, that's evolution, and that's reality.
