If you were one of the last survivors of the human race...
    #4216471 - 05/24/05 11:47 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

If you were one of the last survivors of the human race...say about 20 people...what kind of influence would you have on the this small sized society? ( given that you are all in the same place).

What type of role would you play in the creation or destruction of whats left of humankind?

erm.. I would probably do everything in my power to help form a self-sustaining community. Grow food, build shelters, help the sick.. whatever needed to be done.

I think if there were 20 people left, I'd wait until they were sleeping and then stab them all in the hearts.

And voila, I would become the single most important person in humanity's history by ending the species.

would you be more of a speaker, or the guy that gives the speaker good ideas ( by speaker i mean guy that would talk to everyone at once)..

would you try to get everyone to work in unison for survival or just kinda let everyone do their own thing and not try to convince them to go along with your ideas for survival?

I would check out the females. If I found no attractions, I would walk away and roam like Kung Fu, freely across the land. :mushroom2:

Given enough time and no suitable release, you may find attractions where none existed previously.

Sounds like a sticky situation.

Male UFO believers would be outcasts, especially if they had a pretty wife or girlfriend...

I suppose that you would take over the tasks of administering implants and probes?

If that's a real question... What to do if only 20 humans left, I'd say, with a limited understanding of biohazards, to get everyone safely away from all the rotten bodies, and to deal with the psyc and other biological troubles (say, for instance, clean water availability). It would be a freaking out party. Most would be in shock and would die from the specter.

mushrx1 would do you think you would die from the specter yourself? or would you be one of the few, if things go how you say, that would survive through such the initial shock and specter ?.

I would be the guy who steps up as leader only after the default leader proved unfit for the job. And I would hand my power to a successor ASAP.

He's a WITCH! A WITCH!!!

But seriously, after listening to Terence McKenna's thoughts about the golden age of our civilization and how that all came about. I'd encourage my community to take the same route. Work together as community and no longer think of this group as "my family" but rather "our family", meaning all work together for the same goals, all work together to produce crops and sufficient religious means (heh heh :mushroom2:) and raise our children all together. McKenna said something along the lines that in the golden age of man we exploded consciously because of massive use of psilocybin and we didn't have any sort of ownership within our community because of religious love sessions... or something along those lines. I can go more in depth if anyone is interested.

I'd want to be somewhere in control of the direction of my community, maybe not the leader but pulling strings for sure.

Also, if I was leader I'd have to create invisible enemies and occasionally purge members of my society because progress speeds up like that. Shitty but true.

The fucking apes are after us!

I'm not sure. I'm having trouble finding the mindset I'd be in if thats what was going on. Maybe I wouldn't change at all, so I wouldn't do anything...Don't know?
