Advice for Karo/Pressure Cooker

I haven't had a chance to start my first serious grow yet (which will be tomorrow!), however I found some old syringes that weren't stored very well a few weeks ago. I didn't expect it to work, but I figured I needed the practice anyway and injected a couple of Karo jars. Can you guys tell me if I was on the right track on something or if there was something icky in there so I?ll know what to watch for?












Also, I bought a pressure cooker from ebay and the pressure gauge doesn?t seem to be working right. I know I have to get that fixed and it?s the next thing on my list but until then can anyone tell me a guesstimate on how long it takes a on a medium-high flame to get to 15 PSI with a 22 qt cooker. It's not when the steam comes out because that just means the water's boiling right? Any help would be appreciated so that I have a decent time frame to work with tomorrow. Thanks!

What kind of pressure cooker are you using?? Does it have a rocker to regulate the pressure??? We need more information on your PC to give you a good answer on it.

The jars look ok I guess. Every one of those pictures look different from each other.

Maybe get a better focus so we can see more. But looking at the last one, it looks pretty good.

What did you use for gas exchange?

I went looking for the box it came in that also has the instruction manuel and I'm having trouble finding it. I hope this helps.
I know it's kind of half ass to do it without a pressure gauge but I figure if I have a ballpark figure (like 30-50 min) then I can wing it.

Oh and Clutch I'm using Tyvek with a 1/4 inch breathing hole punched in the lid. I can't really take a better picture of it because I threw everything out last night in order to soak the jars in bleach. I wasn't really expecting to keep them since the syringes were gimp.

Also I have some rust spots on the lids on the jars I did the Karo in.



I soaked all the jars and lids in a bleach/water solution for 12 hours and I just washed them in the sink. I also plan to PC them too. Are they useable?

when usin karo for LC's Mr. Creative says Using just the microwave for 5 mins. Works just fine
