harvesting opium question

ive herd that u harvest by pulling off the petals right after the flower opens. ive also herd u wait till the petals gall off then u harvest. which one is correct?

Harvest about two weeks after the petals drop.

No Worries. Good game though.
What variety of O pops do you grow. Does it do well in your environment. I see many poppies growing in public gardens in Queensland. Oz. the good ones would probably do the same?

well i dont grow yet, but i will start an indoor garden soon. i won sum seeds, i think they were Giganthemum.

When the little crown on the top of your pods starts to turn up and the pod takes on a blue/green frosty appearance, your ready to harvest. This is usually 2-3 weeks after the petals drop. Also, stop all watering atleast a week before harvest as watering will drastically lower the potency of your latex.
