Absolute hypocrisy regarding the female form

Learyfan edited my picture of an older, semi-nude woman in the pub.  But there was a MULTI-PAGED thread of nude, photoshopped, young, model-type women that went on with the slightest tap on the wrist.

    Folks, this is fucking BULLSHIT. 

    GET OVER IT.  People age.  WHY CAN'T WE RESPECT THE HUMAN BODY AT ANY AGE?  If you dig Brittany Spears naked now, and it's allowed to be posted in the pub, THAN YOU BETTER ALLOW GERIATRIC NUDE PHOTOS OF WOMEN.  Otherwise you're just a bunch of chauvinist dicks that only like the young girls.  FOR SHAME, MODS!  FOR SHAME!!!!  :nonono:

I'm angry at the knee-jerk reaction to a semi-nude older woman's form versus a young, smooth, full-breasted nude woman's pic. You don't see those getting taken out by mods immediately, do you?

Look, if the other Mods think I'm wrong then you can go ahead and post it all you want. We both know you posted it with the intent to disgust people. It's not much different than posting hello.jpg. If I removed hello.jpg, you could say I'm discriminating against a part of the human body (the asshole) and not others (faces).

I don't want to spam the pub with that picture. 

The reason I posted it was because it was individual, the head was cut off, and it was akin to the metallica/megadeth "old man in diapers" and the pose was close to a crucifixion style pose. 

That's it.  I have no interest in posting that pic again. 

I must, however, vehemently disagree with your actions as a pub moderator.  After pages of naked females are tolerated--nay, encouraged, by the mods--you delete a picture of a woman who is not totally nude, has no face (hence no identification).  Seriously, man, back off the fucking delete button.

Wow.  You both can't logically defend your position unless it's on a basis of subjective aesthetics.  Perhaps you could go back to symmetry and proportion to support a case of intrinsic balance and hence, viewing pleasure, but, that's a long step.

Read them and understand my position. 

And yes, they are message boards, of course.  But, we do fight and die over symbols, because symbols carry weight beyond face value.  They convey ideology, a paradigm. 

If I tattooed a swastika on my forehead, don't you think it would garner different reactions than if I tattooed a smiley face in the same place?  :smile:

Drama is fine, sure.

But my point stands:  If you have a several-paged thread of naked young women, why should a single, faceless, semi-nude older woman's picture be deleted?

I call foul.  That's my position. 

It is my hope that the shroomery will, henceforth, advertise naked pictures of octogenarian women on its homepage to correct this long-standing, scandalous inequity.    :wink:
