make the top of you container transparent and you can have the light anywhere you want. one flaw with just laying it down is that the shrooms could grow in a weird direction.

then i guess if ir wont work from the top you can just put it down just expect some weird angles to happen but it should be good.

My plan is to use a powersupply from a computer to rig up case fans to deal with air exchange. On the top of the inside of my tub I am going to use a fan with blue LED's on it for both air exchange and light. I haven't figured out all the details but I plan to make this tub pretty stealth so maybe you want to look into that? I heard that blue LED's will provide enough light.

Get a different light, I had same problem look around, you can find stores with lights that have a sticky side, and u just click em to turn em on after u stick em.

you could drill small holes and put soem xmas lights in them. that would work nice. low power cost if you get the led type and easy to replace. plus pretty chesp and stealth. oh nd not much heat

Another idea is to buy 1 or 2 blue leds and hook them up to a 9V. Could get costly but it will remove your power cord problem and maintain stealth.
