Is this Normal??? THE ALIENS ARE AFTER ME!

This is especially at night, the day time seems to be more controllable. When I lay in my bed I will sometimes here sounds outside my house, when ever I hear them or doesn't matter if I hear them or not I get scared shit. I think that there are aliens outside my house trying to come and test scientific experiments on me. I think they're planning there intrusion. For some reason my mind wants to believe that aliens are trying to get me. Also when I'm really close to going to sleep I will have a quick spasm (I'm assuming twitching is normal) but I will think that the aliens froze time and took me into there space ship to do experiments on my brain then brought me back all in that one spasm. I hope I'm not crazy It all mainly happens at night.

This is a rsult of association.

At some point you have thought about and feared being abducted just before going to sleep.

Now you are finding yourself thinking about it whenever you goto sleep!


At the end of the day you must ignore this highly irrational thought as it is having a negative effect upon you!

You are probably far more likely to kidnapped by Iraqi's or confronted by a burgalar than Aliens but yet your not thinking about and fearing that now are you?

We live in a world of chance.  The individual has practically no control over this.  We all accept, spinning on this tiny ball, that global/individual death catastrophe is possible at any moment.

Most of us just null ourselves with beer and TV then forget about it! :smile:

i've halfway seen desperate and ragged-looking humanoids (think
hobo zombies) clawing at my windows at night... just enough to make
me paranoid.

i think it had a lot to do with being alone in a relatively big house.

I've had my mind construct elaborate scenario's like that before. You can either confront why your mind is urging you to believe this in order to overcome the paranoid thoughts, or simply make peace with it. It's hard to describe what I mean, but if you truly believe that aliens are coming for you then I'd make an effort to communicate with them, to find a peace.

I've read a lot about aliens and stuff like that and I still do sometimes, I find if I read stories about aliens then that night is when I'll be paranoid about being abducted. You just have to eliminate the scenario from your thoughts by avoiding the topic all day. I think if you keep not thinking about it (Don't read up about aliens on the internet or anything!) eventually the thoughts will fade away.

if you really think they're there, i don't think there's any reason to be afraid of them. i mean, they havn't harmed you yet have they? once you stop fearing them, the weird sounds and stuff will probably go away.

Yeah, Ive been like this since I was a little kid, I thought that monsters where after me or strange ghost were going to posses me. But Im older and I still think things are after me, fucking aliens!

I'm really into ufology and the whole paranormal aspect and when I was a kid and I would lay in bed reading a book about UFOs, or Abductions, or Bigfoot or whatever I'd have a hard time getting to sleep out of paranoia too. So what I used to do was listen to music, preferably through a walkman that way your mind is following the music and drifting asleep instead of processing other thoughts. It really worked for me back in the day.

And just remember, the aliens are light years ahead of us so if they were abducting you obviously they're so good at what they do and so advanced that if they were, you probably wouldn't even be thinking about it. You'd probably just wake up every morning wondering why your ass is sore :wink:
