-------------------- Darlene: "Ted, I got you this new nose plug to stop you from snoring at night."
Ted: "Uh yeah, and I got you this paper bag to stop you from looking like James Brown in the Morning."
Darlene: "Oh come now, I don't look anything like James Brown."
Ted: "Hey kids, who does your mom look like in the morning?"
Kids... in unison: "James Brown!"
Darlene, "All right, thats enough... It's poison spaghetti for dinner tonight."

I know you can eat brf-cakes but it tastes like shit. Make a tea, it works! But I wouldn't do it until all the flushes are spent. Otherwise it's a waste.

I wouldn't eat verm cakes, however I have eaten Birdseed cakes. A friend and I split a pint jar...it was fukkin insane. The jars were about 3-5 weeks old and bruised nicely when i pulled them out.
YES you can eat the mycalia, make sure your substrait is ok to eat. I knew one guy that grew 1/2 pint RYE SEED cakes for that very purpose. They are called SPACE CAKES.....
tell us how they were

Grow out plenty of 1/2 gallon jars on Brown rice or millet and when they are very mature, expose to a bit of natural morning light and oxygen for a day or two until it wants to pin on top, then remove the mass from the jar, break it up into a large glass bowl and cover with 50/50 moonshine or ever clear 180 proof and distilled water. The liquid will turn blue within an hour. shake periodically and let soak for 2-3 days in a cool dark place. Strain, squeeze, strain. The blue will go away and turn golden after this step. I put it in a glass jar and double boiler and heat until it is 200 degrees briefly. Then store in glass tincture bottles. It works great to control your micro dose or go full on adventure. Its easy to store and very portable. So, eat your cake and your fruits too! I love it.

Why the water, wouldn't that prevent the alcohol from being as effective at extracting the actives. Iv made an alcohol extract before with much success but i never added any water, i was always under the assumption that you can use one or the other to extract actives but not both.

17 year old thread
All alcohol is a mixture of water and alcohol. It forms an azeotrope at 95% for ethanol and 91% for iso.
Anytime you do an alcohol extraction you are doing a part water extraction also.

thats what I wondered. Everclear is banned in many states. In my country I can get high % alcohol but it is very expensive per unit alcohol compared with weaker budget brand alcohol. I would guess in the US it is also cheaper to buy cheap vodka per unit of alcohol.
So why would you source this only to dilute it. They also gave zero info on yeild or dosage. I would not want to be drinking shots in the morning to microdose!
Also if you have to get it to the pinning stage just grow it out.

Everclear is super cheap here. Sometimes a bottle is cheaper than most vodka.
You can take 195 everclear (Polish brand) to over 199 proof with molecular sieves.
Same with the 190 proof stuff (everclear brand with the corn pictures) The everclear brand is like 16.99 for a liter. Same price as the shittiest vodka

I don't think I will do it, but it would be interesting if someone took a couple of spent subs that weren't green and gross and made tea. Use a big ol stockpot and boil, strain, reduce. If one monotub had a number of good doses in it then a few dozen tubs like filthyknees lotkid grow log 2019 could yield a nice batch of gummies. Might be a bitch and a half to filter out the waste though.

Remember you're also at that point making substrate tea. So if you're cool with drinking vermiculite, or coir, or whatever else tea go for it

That's what I meant about filtering. I try to avoid using verm at all because of it getting into the product. I do use it as a casing for my Tamps and Hoogs and so far I made Tamp tea once. I used a coffee filter to clean it up, but do you think that's not gonna get everything out or just it's not practical to go large scale. I guess one could use a separatory funnel, but that just seemed unworthy of mention.
I just figure if you could clean it well enough...
Is there drugz in that there gum?
