so this kangaroo i know got it in the mail today. anybody here have any experience with the stuff? how much should he be adding to pint jars...to quarts? how much of a benefit is there?

for what i know peptone is useful for agar, to promote vigorous growth...

MPG (malt peptone grain) agar from TMC p 20:

20 g tan malt
5 g ground rye grain
5 g peptone or neopeptone
2 g yeast (optional)
20 g agar
(to 1L of water).

havent seen anyone list about adding it directly to grains... thought it was supposed to promote rhizos on agar...?

I guess he'll start by adding a teaspoon to each jar, and see if there is a difference vs. control. Nobody out there has any experience with the stuff? odd...
