Mycological peptone

I found some peptone while browsing www.mycosupply.com in their culture media section. Is there any reason I should try and add this to my substrate to speed things up? Their description makes it sound useful. Any comments or ideas would be great, Thanks.

err, okay.

i just blew 5-10 minutes reading that thread to discover that on page1 peptone is mentioned but not discussed. Page2 reveals absolutely no mention of peptone. and Page 3 offers this tiny nugget of hearsay.

Lol, sorry for facilitating your time wasted debianlinux. I guess I got another thread mixed up with that one.  I seem to remember another thread started about the same time that discussed peptone more thoroughly. Perhaps I remembered wrong.

Anyway, don't read that, you'll just waste your time.  :blush: :tongue2:
