Found this growing in a nice incubator setup, Whats it look like...

The owner tells me that he used a good glove box to inoculate and these are PF Jars with dry verm layer on the top. Is this contaminant? The LC is 3%-5%honey/water. To me the LC looks good but the jars look a little bad. The odd part is that the nonwhite is only where the white is growing.

Looks like trich (green mold). Toss 'em.

Are the chances pretty bad on the LC as well? I don't know how to tell if the growth is myco or green since the LC isn't clear.
My friend is really bummed about those PF Jars. He tried to be really careful and is suprised how all the jars got contaminated. Typically does this mean that the incubator is contaminated? The innoc. was done in a glovebox with flame+alcohol used everytime the needle touched the cakes.

looks like the PF jars might have not been PCed long enuff to kill mold spores or a bad syringe is also possible

It was definately green mold. Taken it out two days later, the whole thing was solid green. Jars were PCed for 90 min @ 15psi. They were sitting around for weeks though so the dry verm layer could have become too moist. I am hoping for my friend that his syringe isn't bad although it really looks to be the case since the mold grew at the innoc points . He ordered from a sponser

Ok, I just started this mushroom deal, and a buddy of mine told me ot make a lot of jars because in the beginning, most will get eaten by contamination. I made 5 dozen. Every single jar has like orangish right around the injection spot, and the bottom half of the jar is white. If I can get pics I will post them. It looks like the pics above, but I used the bigger jars, and the bottom half is perfectly white? Not one jar went without that happening, anf I used 10 different syringes, all B+ strain. Any ideas what it could be?

Post the pics man. I am adding this one. This is atempt #2 with this syringe and bam, exact same contam originating in the same way. This time a diff. glove box was used and jars went straight from PC to glove box (cooled in PC overnight). Flame that needle and use a paper towel soaked in 70% isopropyl. I can't imagine a way to be more sterile without a HEPA filter with positive flow or a hood. lame. The Trich originates at the exact location of ALL inoc points. I can't imagine this not being a contaminated syringe. Anyone have anymore insight for this frusterated noob? Its like my buddy got a straight trich syringe.
