Weird growth (maybe contam) *pics included*

Has anybody seen symptoms like the ones exhibited in the pictures below? I did an experiment and let the sides of these casing trays grow out, not covering them with opaque material. I don't think that this is because of that, but just for information.. Anyhow, the bottoms of the stems (the most recent growth) of these little guys is all skinny and speckled brown, and looks VERY peculiar. Are there any contams that will do this sort of thing, or is this just a strange "mushroomality?"

Ima newbie grower, but I have read in the MMGG that when your shrooms are covered in mycelium enough to be fluffy, they need a bit more humidity...

don't bitch at me if I am completly wrong, but I think the spots are the 'skin' and they are produced by mycelium covering the 'skin'

Defently mycelium on the bottom
the stem is just browning a little
could it be EQs?
