I don't know much about contams, maybe they are millions of mini pinheads? Nah, I don't really think so, but I felt like saying this anyway.

It is pretty damn odd, huh.

When I birthed this batch of cakes, 1 of them had a shitload of this brown stuff between the cake and the dry verm layer. looked like the inside of one of those "puff ball" mushrooms you would pop as a kid.

I've isolated the infected cakes and doused with h2o2, well see what happens..

I sure hope someone know what this stuff is...

Speaking of breeding contams...I have had massive amounts of green, black, and orange, and the saddest thing is, I have never even been succesful. I have managed to colonize a cake, and I am starting to have pins, but I have never even harvested a mushroom.

Green mold has been my curse till this lovely black stuff, but I have harvested little more that 1.5oz so far. My advise is just keep sticking to cakes, they will produce eventually :wink:

Are you using a pressure cooker?
