Buying used food dehydrators at 2nd hand stores....

I went out searching 2nd hand stores this last week...

and didn't find any food dehydrators.

I must have searched 20 f#cking 2nd hand stores...didn't find any!~

I drove by this one today...

and I just had to turn around and go back and check it.

sure as shit there was this really nice dehydrator sitting in the appliance area.

the sucka had 8 racks and worked like a charm...

price was $7.99

Brand new ones come with 4 racks...cost like $50.00

buying extra racks are $10 to $15 for 2 racks...plus shipping.

you do the math!~

Every once in awhile - you get lucky. Just have to keep looking - is the trick. Paid retail for my first one, now have several all under $10 from thrift stores. :thumbup: :grin:

i got my coolmist at goodwill for $3.99. found a dehidrater there once for $2 but didnt buy it. didnt grow at the time.

Yep, mine= $5 at goodwill American Harvest with four trays. Also same goes for Pressure Cookers. They had two of them and I bought one for cheap.

4 massive fruiting pans, .68 cents each...easily 6-8 bucks retail.
Coolmist Humidifier $5
Cool mush candle .50.

Yep......nice places to stop...as well as some of the yard sales I have been to lately, but that is for another story.......

i live in total rural upstate and N our Y thrift stores suck ass. i check with them all the time and not a damn thing. somebody hook them up for me will ya, jk.

Just the other day I hit up a Goodwill Superstore for 2 Vicks foggers and a Coolmist. $7 total. Can't beat the'ol Goodwill. Haven't scored a dehydrator yet. But still on the prowl.

That dehydrator I got works well. Had to give it a good cleaning and soaked in some bleach for a while because it had some food clumped onto it. gross.

The only thing about it is the damn cord is only like three feet long. I need to stick an extension cord on it, otherwise it has to sit on the floor.

I know how you feel. I've been looking for months with no luck. Found HEPA filters, have a stock pile of coolmists and humidifiers but no dehydrator. Sure is nice to have a big Bro looking out for ya,lol. Thanks and Luv :heart: Ya.

I usually send them to my friends...the ones that I find now.

I have 3 base units for myself...with like 24 trays total.

All have been found at 2nd hand stores.

You can find alot of stuff at 2nd hand stores!~

dehydrators, pressure cookers, hepa filters, aquariums, canning jars... etc.

be careful and watch the prices!~
if the price seems high...try bartering with them.
