Drying question

Hello.
I am new to the whole mushroom scene. What I am wondering is;

When a mushroom is dried does it lose or gain potency?
If i picked a mushroom and ate it, will there be the same effects as if i dried it first?!

Potency is relatively the same wet and dry. You can lose potency depending on your drying method - high heat is bad. Shrooms are 90% water. 1 dry gram eaten = 10 wet grams eaten.

Drying mushrooms can be linked to potency loss. If you dry them right, there will be no potency loss.

Thanks for that information.
So is it OK to eat the mushrooms just after they have been picked or is drying advised? I plan to pick and eat within a space of a few hours if possible.

Go right ahead. They're mmm...mmm...good! Remember though 10x the weight of dry.

Amanita muscarias are the ones you don't want to eat right after picking, but with psilocybin shrooms it doesnt matter. With Amanita muscaria you have to heat it, where as with these, heat will screw them up.
