best spore print method?

i suppose the foil needs to cool down after it has been sterilized...

The surface you spray with lysol is your working surface not the foil or the shroom cap surface and you ended too soon. After the cap has dropped its spores, you fold the foil with the spore print inside and and put it in a zip-loc bag then store in a cool dry place. Keep it less than eighty degrees. Or better, double bag the print and store in the freezer. A print stored at room temp is good for about three years. The end.

The foil will cool in seconds.

Place a drop of water on the cap or give the inside of the cup you use a light misting. This will keep the cap dropping spores longer.

Leave it for more than 12 hours. 24 sounds twice as good!

Mother Nature designed spores to many years but viability does decrease over time..
