Cutting Out Mold

I saw a tiny little of speck of mold today on 1 of my colonizing cakes.. it was not on the mycelium but on an uncolonized part... I cut off all the remaining uncolonized part (about 25 %) and birthed the cake... will it be ok or did I catch the mold in time?

Absolutely the right thing to do. Just keep a close eye on that cake for any more mold.
