I'm taking my mom to the ballet tonight!
    #4222644 - 05/26/05 01:05 PM (18 years, 10 months ago)

Other than Alvin Ailey's dance company (which is cool modern dance stuff) I've never been to the ballet. But this year for mother's day I got my mom tix for me to take her to see this russian ballet troupe, Eifmann, do a ballet version of Anna Karennina. Think it'll be any good? I'm so tired already I hope I don't fall asleep then.

Anna Karrenia is a long book. Hopefully it translates into a much shorter dance. You should go take your mom to see "Wicked" if you get the chance. She'll love it.

I loved the book Wicked, I heard the play was real good yeah...

If this ballet is as long as that book, I'll see you next week.

Man, not to sound too corny...

But I  my mom.  She's fuckin rules. Unlike with my dad, who is all business and cold, I can talk to my mom about ANYTHING except drugs. :smirk:  We can talk about life and beliefs and feelings as if we were friends and it's great. The older I get and the older she gets the more appreciate how much she made me who I am. :sun:

You should give her acid before you go.   J/K

Yeah I love my mom too. We are just very different. I was serious about the ice cream thing though, I'm sure she would like that  I have always wondered what it would be like to trip out with my parents.........

I think Wicked is one of my favorite books.  I saw the play on Broadway in August.  It still had Idina Menendez and that Joey McIntyre () in it.

Usually before family events I get stoned cause it helps me deal better...but tonight I'm going to pick her up outside the theater, take her to dinner at La Bonne Soupe and spend a nice sober evening with her. I'm excited.

Sound like a fun night. The ballet is amazing. just go in with an open mind, and if you have any appreciation for the arts, you'll love it!
