Interesting View On After-Life...
    #4201660 -

?At first, man has within him what he later sees around him?All that lives today in the inner being of man, his thoughts, his feelings, will find expression in the outer world and become his surroundings. The future lies within man.? -Rudolph Steiner

Thoughts?

I agree. Your environment is first created within. I have read many of Steiner's books and really enjoyed them. Spirituality for the thinking man. 'How To Know Other Worlds' is his best IMO.

I think we should all live in the "NOW" while constantly fantasizing about what may happen after we die.

You could interpet it that way, but in the article it comes from, it was used in the context of what happens after death of the body.

that sounds deliciously comforting. if after death we just went poof and that was that. something inside me however tells me its not going to be that simple.

Yet another silly question.

When I am gone, I will feel nothing. While I am here, I will drink deeply.

When I am gone, I will feel nothing. While I am here, I will drink deeply.

Seeing as how you can escape responsibility for your actions through death, might you indulge yourself to the point of harming someone else to satisfy your own desires or even commit a violent crime to get what you want?

If not, why not? What restrains you?

What if you knew you could get away with it?
Would you do "it" then?
