Don't Plan, just take a trip!

I just want to relate a trip I had recently to you all. It was a few days before Christmas and our only plan was to get stuck in San Fransisco and leave without the shrooms we came with. We ended up eating them in the parking lot and going to the Museum of modern art (an excellent choice for the brave). It was the best trip I have ever had (I've only tripped about 5 times though). All I can say is the less you plan the more fun you will have. It has been like this everytime I have tripped so I thought I would pass the realization. I can say that planning a trip on mushrooms is like trying to plan a family vacation... you will just be disappointed. Just take them and liet them take you.

Yes spontanaiety makes things a lot of fun. With spontanaity comes more risk though, especially if spontaneous means that you may not be in an environment, that will suit you tripping. Though as long as your with good friends, even the worst times can be turned back into the best times.

not exactly the message I would point out to the inexperienced that come across these boards, but yes, it is pretty fun to take psychedelics out of the blue.

that's easy to say when you have no responsibilities...although, it seems like your plan to take them in san francisco was a plan to take mushrooms. just because you didn't know what you were going to do that day you still knew that you were going to take mushrooms.

i disagree. spontaneous small doses maybe but as soon as you underestimate their power your ganna get your ass kicked. not planning anything will lead to you possibly being very uncomfortable and having a bad experience not to mention that a lack of planning will increase the likelihood of you running into an authority figure. one should always talk into consideration set and setting.

Given the fact that you've got close friends, safe havens, and permittible weather then I wouldn't be against it. I have in the past. No work, no next-day responsibilities, good weed, good friends, wonderful neighbourhood, it's reassurance enough for me to take a very small trip.

the safe spot is a must. You always need somewhere "safe" to go if the world/life/society/people get too damn vivid...
