I just have a quick question that has been very elusive when I tried to search:

I am very familiar with the "times two" aspect of shrooms alone (ie to trip the next day you have to take twice the dosage.)  I also understand there is a very similiar effect with X.  I am also familiar with Hippy Flips, doing both at the same time.

QUESTION:  If someone were to roll late one night (till approx 3am), how viable would a shroom trip be the next afternoon?  Would the changes to your serotonin impact the shroom trip?

These questions are all hypothetical, and I am simply asking for theoretical answers :smile:

"hippy flipping" is actually a combo of shrooms and acid.
candy flipping is acid and x
shrooms and x has no specific term i have ever heard of.

I've always understood hippy flipping to be X and shrooms, hmmm, we'll have to call the jury out on that one.

As for the question, I'm not sure if shrooms have a cross tolerance with X.
I do know that shrooms are cross tolerant with LSD and mescaline.

I couldnt tell you if they are cross tolerant or not, but im gonna really recommend you dont indulge in psychadelic substances to often. IMHO once a week is too often, let alone the next day. Be kind to your brain you only get one.

I tripped about 6 weekends in a row and i noticed i started to develope anxieties in social situations and i would get these wierd irrational fears. I couldnt tell you if the mushrooms caused it or not, but i was scared and thought i was going nuts for about 2 weeks. Ive been laying off the psychadelics for about 3 months now and im going to take at least a year break.

Buy some ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) which is sold in bodybuilding circles as a fat burner. It is supposed to do quite a good job at reducing the damage done to your serotonin levels during an X experience. Caution, this is not necessarily preventing serotonin from being momentarily depleted obviously.

? According to one study, ALA (alpha lipoic acid) taken at roughly double the dosage of X you're taking (and thirty minutes before you roll) can fully prevent serotonergic defects caused by X. So anyone using X should make the investment and buy a bottle of ALA. (2)

? Most people realize that X absolutely croaks serotonin levels in the central nervous system. Repeated and frequent usage can lead to a serious and continual lowering of brain serotonin. Thus, the supplement 5-HTP, a serotonin precursor, might be a good idea to incorporate two to four hours after you've used X to help ameliorate this decline in serotonin. (3)

With my experience taking mushrooms after x makes you roll a bit longer and get cool visuals. If you take your mush the next day ( more than 6 hours after rolling ) then I alway's had a mellow/sketchy/enjoyable buzz. I don't recommend E, it has been a bit more than a year since I did that shit and only now I am feeling normal. We use to call this MX Missiles or Scoobie Snacks.

I was aware that "hippie flipping" was shrooms + X, but shrooms+acid makes a little more sense. Also other names for shrooms plus X: "MX missile" "Troll"

and where i'm from (texas) it's not. and in the yukon canada it's not. and it some parts of B.C. it's not. and in some parts of washington state it's not...
don't ya get it dude? nobody is "right" it just depends on where you are from.
like i said in another post....really, X and shrooms shouldn't be "hippie flipping" because true...TRUE hippies...not just potheads with bellbottoms....they don't do man made things...neither do true rasta's...they don't do chemicals drugs...and MDMA doesn't grow in a plant i'm aware of. but once upon a time i didn't know 2 +2 =4 either...i'm always learning new things...so basically, if you look at it right, in two diferent places, hippie flipping means two different things. so why does it matter who is right? :wink: really, neither should be "hippie" flipping, because both are man made...although i've discussed with a man once who said lsd is produced very naturally in extremelly small amounts by a certain type of moss either  in south america or africa...but i wouldn't take that as law and start repeating it to your freinds.
