Does this look like pan cyan mycelium??? (PICS)
    #4095334 -

A couple weeks ago there was some discussion going on grow log and pics about some pan cyan mycelium on agar. Dobinky was showing some pics of his agar plates saying that they where pan cyans, he used spores he got from shirley knott. But people who replyed said it looked much more like cubensis mycelium... anyway, you can check the thread here:
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/3981152#Post3981152

The most accepted "theory" about the "phenomenum" you see on Bobinky's thread is that the spore print was contamed with cubensis spores, that could really be the case since you can see that shirley was growing her pan cyans side by side with Orissas, you can check her grow log with pictures here: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/3603867#Post3603867

Now here are the agar plates I made using a spore print from the same grow from shirley (once again, thank you for the kind donation Shirley!!!):

Since I already knew about this possible "contamination" I used as little spores as possible.

So, how does this look? Is it anything like pan cyan mycelium? Whats the best part to transfer to new plates?

I just used two little pieces of this mycelium to start a couple more plates. I hope this is the right stuff, I want to try out these hardcore mushies!!!

whats strange is when it was transfered from A to B it grew rhizo on B for a few cm's then turned poofy like cyan myc.

Very strange.

Transfer the strongest most white looking growth to a new plate.

Looks good to me, but cubes can look somewhat like that initially from multispore. A transfer to a fresh plate would help confirm it.

It does to me, but I'm still new to these and second guessing myself.

I have PINS today though! I'm psyched...2 casings (like 8x12x2) have primordia starting to form and the casing closer to the light has like 10 tiny pins throughout the casing and alot more primordia. One mini casing already pinned, and 3 aborts came off, totaling .5 grams dry, but this is my first set of good looking casings. That thing was all dried out and shitty..these two are purty though... I'm so giddy..
