Im back...and Im a testing Rat again!

I think last time i posted i was a PPD rat. I suppose i just have a lot of time here.

Last time i was in PPD for 3 weeks and got paid $5000...this time i am in for 5 weeks and getting paid $6000. WOAH!

Its going to be difficult to be in such a confined place for so long. yesterday I had my blood drawn 10 times! and I have to have my pee monitored! hahaha!

But atleast i get free food...and $6000!

I think she has submitted herself for medical testing, again :smirk:

It's really not a bad way to make a few extra bucks (or few thousand extra...) as long as you don't mind being the object of experimentation.

6000 is good money but getting my blood drained 10 times a day for 6 weeks would be too much for me. But that could be a great summer job : 'Work' 6 weeks and party the rest of the summer  :birthday:

How do you find these kind of studies? I'd be interested in being a lab rat, especially with all my legal and financial troubles. Is there some place online you can sign up or what....?

Naw, you arent retarded...the name doesnt say a damn thing about it. Its a company that gets a shit load of money from pharmaceutical companies to try out their drugs on people. Right now i am testing an experimental diabetes med. as well as the effects of the combination between that and another drug (anti-biotic). But there are all types of different meds tested.

i have about 17 days left...fuck...halfway through. sigh. but it will be $6000!

No..damnit. i wish that was the case. actually sex and pot is totally out...and eating poop...im not sure but i dont think they would be into that. we can only eat what they give us...haha!

Damn right! Its not too bad really. they treat you pretty human!!! infact i eat better in here than at home! and i do less! you can watch movies and tv all day if you want! just have to pump out some blood every now and then!

Yeah $6000 is awesome money. this is actually a 5 week study. but the last one i was in was 3 weeks for 5000 and there is one in here now with us that comes in for a week, goes out for a week..and so on...for a total of three weeks in. and they make 5500. i would have done that if i lived closer and was a male.

(they can be kind of restricting with girls. for a lot of studies we have to be post menopausal or sterile. their always looking for guys though).

Its totally an excellent way to make some money. oh, and was wrong about having to draw every day. i only have 11 (not 10- i was wrong again) blood drawls every...like 5 days or so. and one or two in between those days.

I actually live in Corpus Christi, tx. but ppd is in austin. and there is one in san antonio...

i think there is a site that tells where all the testing places are: www.gpgp.net (Guinea pigs get paid) check it out! there is a pretty big culture of people that call them selves Guinea pigs and travel from study to study!

Yeah check out that gpgp.net site. i know with ppd you just call up and hear their list of studies. then you sign up, get drug tested, physical..and if everything checks out...youre in!

There are different types. but this place is about taking pills and then usually testing the safety of the med, the side effects, how it dissolves in your system...and so on.

because of these things usually you have to draw a lot of blood. This time ive had to give them all of my pee...so i have to pee in a little bucket! haha! thats fun.

sometimes they will stick these monitors on you that you have to wear sometimes or all the time. and they will check your vitals. but you pretty much live here and they run these tests on you and thats it.
